Re: The Toughbook FZ-40 is here!!
Looks okay. At least it is a real laptop, not another tablet w/an optional keyboard. The downside, at least for a bunch of us, is all the secure this-and-that from M$/Intel. Rob, can you stick a live linux thumb drive in a unit (must have a demo unit, eh) and see if it will boot from it? I doubt it ...

Re: CF-29 kernel config.
Good to hear from you Michael.
I have been using the modded kernel you developed on my 29 since you first posted it. There have been zero issues. Thank you once again.

Re: AlmaLinux
Hey Nic, I tried out Alma w/the Gnome DE on a live usb stick. I turned on wireless networking, by way of the menu that shows when you click on the icons that are on the right end of the top bar, entered my access point info and connected. Installed from the Applications and all settings made in the ...

Re: What Models are you still playing with?
Not much has changed here. CF-29Mk4, CF-30Mk2, CF-31Mk3, CF-52Mk2, CF-D1Mk1. I had a box full of CF-19's in parts that I bought from Shawn but gave them to a retired military vet I met here in the ghetto. He said he was bored and needed something to occupy his time. Problem solved :D All of my units...

Backlight Dimming, TS Calibration, Sound fixes for CF-31

Re: Been gone a little bit
Sounds like you had a really good vacation. Did you get to take a sample, or two, home with you from the mine tour? Or was security tight? :D Actually they give you a sample from the end of the tour. The gold mine is gold ore, not nugged. So the rock you get is just gold dotted. Not enough in it fo...
