CF-29 kernel config.

HI all.
It's really good to be back among you. Here is a link to my github page for the kernel mod we come up with together. Feel free to use it on your CF-29s so that both card slots work on your machines.

I would like to create a specific kernel for the CF-29, and other models as well, so they run at the highest efficiency they can. This will take time and now the school year has started again time is limited again.

If I'm not working tomorrow I'll try to build a current Debian Bullseye kernel and if Rob lets me I'll upload it here for all to use.

Cheers.

Check out the other thread. Should be good for 1 gig. Is that big enough?

Last time I ran linux on a Toughbook was when Ubuntu 10.10 came out, It ran great with out much headache, even dual booted it on my 29 with XP. I still keep a pendrive loaded with linux incase I need it.

That's plenty for the kernel thanks Rob.

Well I was , am, working on Rugged but life got extremely busy and my net connection sucked, infact it still does. I think the kernel is important so our hardware works properly for those of us who have multiple PCMCIA cards. Rugged will be built but any Debian Bullseye can run the kernel as it is built off Debian. Tweaking it further to make it smaller and totally modularised is quite tricky and I haven't got that bit working yet.

Good to hear from you Michael.

I have been using the modded kernel you developed on my 29 since you first posted it. There have been zero issues. Thank you once again.
