Fedora Design Suite sounds like a decent setup.
I know zip about Fedora.

The OS itself should not be as much an issue as what access you have to the software. Try Mint in Cinn or xfce and add all the software you can. Or try one of these. https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distr ... untustudio

Have you looked into Darktable? It's listed as a Virtual lightable and darkroom for photographers.
