Android on ToughBook

OK, so I tried to runAndroid-x86 on a CF-29 Mk1.

Using a Android-x84 4.4-r2 Install / Live CD. Black screen and a prompt under live. I couldnt get anything to run.

I tried a different iso that I had a few weeks ago, I tried to install it, ran for a long time looking for Android image but never booted to a black screen with a prompt or a gui.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Screen driver?

Can you add drivers to the LiveCD?

I will not be distracted....nooooooo......:)

With the MK1 you can boot USB with a Plop floppy or cd. Wrote this then found this:

Its not a command line interface is what I mean, but that was the old iso, this Android 4.4-r2 gets to the command prompt but then stops.

If it was linux I would think the xorg wasnt running. I will do some research and see what I can come up with. It may take a few days.

Do a search for ice cream shell for Linux. It makes Linux "look" like Android.
Not the same I know..It's like the Pear distro. Looks like OS X but doesn't operate like it.

Because if you set it up right you can triple boot between windows, Linux and Android, lol.

I haven't keep up with the X86 android project like I use too. Have had too much stuff going on here lately. But the last one I ran was a 2.2/2.3 on a T5. It took a little tweaking to get it all to run right. I think I booted a version of 3 on it also but didn't get around to finishing it up.

If you just want quick emulation you can use bluestacks.

Triple boot? :pat:

That just sounds like a bad idea from the go...Something 30 years ago I would have thought was brilliant in the middle of a two day drunk.
After spending a week trying to set up a triple boot, I would be BEGGING someone to hit me in the head with a large hammer just to make the pain STOP.

Paul, you forgot OS X..QUAD boot anyone?...

I know you kidding.

If I was bored enough, it would be quite a challenge to make a quad boot. Maybe this CF 52 Mac with no wifi. Only issue is OS x doesnt play well with others.

Actually it was easy if you set up windows first, then let grub take care of the rest. I had 10.10 installed like it was a program in windows so it worked separately, but was all on the same partition.
