OK this may border on the absurd, but I have Windows 8 running on a CF-29 and it also works pretty darned good. I basically followed my Windows 7 procedure to get the drivers and Panasonic apps working. Everything worked, including the hotkey driver, except the video driver. However, the generic windows video driver was good enough to get 1024 X 768 resolution, so that's fine for now. Windows 8 blocked loading the CF-29 Vista video driver.
Windows 8 seems to be mostly Windows 7 inside with a new launch pad and start menu. The traditional desktop is in there also though. Still exploring this though. Runs IE10 and sent this post with it using IE10.
