CF-51 Intel CoreDuo 1.66GHz to Intel Core2Duo T7200 /400/600
Re: CF-51 Intel CoreDuo 1.66GHz to Intel Core2Duo T7200 /400/600
What LCD are you guys using. My two broken ones are N150X3-L09 Rev C1. I need a couple and a screen front bezel.
My T7600 is on the way. The T7200 works dandy. Also I have a stock 1.6 set-up, running and waiting for that cpu.
Back to the question does anyone know the difference between LCDs and what to watch out for with the duos?
Thanks,
Jeff

I could not tell you the difference between them but I was told by one seller that the MK1/2 will not work on the MK3 Duo's but this guy also told me that my MK3 was not a Core 2 Duo tooSadlmkr wrote:What LCD are you guys using. My two broken ones are N150X3-L09 Rev C1.

Not sure if I told you or not but my new 51Q had the antenna's, they were just capped so all I had to do was add the wifi card. I just finished putting the T7600 2.33 cpu in it, added a new Samsung 160GB HDD, 4 GB memory , finger print reader and a W7/Core 2 Duo stickers .

I don't think I have a spare front bezel but will check for you.

Ignorance is bliss.
Where are you finding the LL?
I don't see the 0 hour CF-51 in your sig yet. What gives?

Number 2. Which has become number 1. I like this thing. I used .5 thermal pad on the heat sink. If you think it's ugly now ya should have seen it before. (that's .5 metrics from frozen cpu)

The 7200 is pretty good. The 7600 is great. Note the even numbers. 72..,74..,7600. Best bang for the buck was the 7200 at one point. You're going to get 2GHz with the 7200.

Re: CF-51 Intel CoreDuo 1.66GHz to Intel Core2Duo T7200 /400
So I put a T7200 in my CF-51 Mk3LL and it runs nice. Then I was looking for something to test a 64-bit Win7Pro install USB stick with, so I loaded 64-bit Win7 on the T7200. Then I loaded the hotkey stuff and PC common driver for CF-73 Vista. It seems to run OK except no sound. The standard XP sound for Mk3LL gets an error, and the one Win7 found (High Def Audio ...) does not seem to work. Any ideas on a good sound driver for 64-bit Win7 ?

Re: CF-51 Intel CoreDuo 1.66GHz to Intel Core2Duo T7200 /400
Hey all newbie with my first post here... I'm slowling working my way through this thread... there is a ton of information and it seems this model has many variations. As I'm working my way through, I was hoping for some recommendations...
First off, I'm not experienced with upgrading or tearing apart computers but I'm trying to learn. I've got a 5 year old CF 51 (Model number CF51PFVDEBM) with a busted LCD screen. FIrst I've got to find a place for a replacement screen but since I'm doing some work, I was hoping to be able to upgrade it as well... both the memory and the processor. Judging by the "UPDATE" on page one it looks like the fastest it will support is the Intel Core Duo T7600?? Again this is all new to me, but the sticker on the front of my machine says "Centrino Duo"... does that make any difference as to what PCU I can replace it with? I can't really run BIO since the screen is busted, but suppose I could remote it to an external monitor?
Anyway, for all of you loving your CF51's and me having a stock 51... what should I upgrade and where can I find most of it... including the screen? I've found a couple places that have them, but thought maybe someone here that might know a secret handshake or an obscure sight to find some of this stuff. Thanks in advance... now back to reading!
