Hope the battery is decent on this one. The IX-325 has an option for compact flash card GPS that caught my eye. Knowing the older GPS don't have the performance of modern units, I ordered a modern GlobalSat BC-337 http://usglobalsat.com/store/p-140-bc-337.aspx
I have two ix300 tablets I have had for over a year now and just getting started on them. Took one to work with me to get it back going. Loaded windows, got all the drivers downloaded and working. Now I have to reinstall windows because I installed regular xp and can't get the digitizer to work, external mouse worked fine. I booted Ubuntu 10.10 on it and it seemed not to load everything or it didn't like the screen resolution and some of it was hidden off screen. The digitizer worked out of the box though. Might of worked better If I would of had the bandwidth to download the updates for Ubuntu at work. From what I have read before the batteries will work with a recell, I got one dead one to see if it will work. I plan on leaving one in my mustang for music and gps.
EDIT: Those leather cases should work. The ix300 and ix325 use the same case like the ix260 and ix260+.

Loaded Windows Tablet and drivers, had to get the Itronix utility for screen rotation etc from the IX-350 site. Battery is pretty good, lasts about 2 hours. Got the CF card slot GPS unit working and it performs very well (GlobalSat unit). Can't figure out yet if there is a wifi and/or bluetooth installed and working -- see some indications but there is a stupid button on the back to turn those on/off that has no indicator if it's on or off, and neither seems to be working (yet).
Overall a pretty handy unit, maybe put a SSD in it and I'll mount it on the Harley.
Damn, I was hoping it was crap now I am going to have to get one . A trucker who picked up a load at work one day had one mounted in a docking station. When I seen it 6 months I said I gotta get me one. I see he has more at the same price....wonder how much me got in my paypal account...off I go

I am back at work and wanted to report on this. I didn't have a digitizer pen for my tablets when I got them. I borrowed the one from my LE1600 motion computing tablet. Well I got this one and tested it out right before I left an it worked fine. I was going to try it out on a CF-18 digitizer to see if it worked but haven't yet. 10 bucks shipped.
