CF-51 Intel CoreDuo 1.66GHz to Intel Core2Duo T7200 /400/600
Re: CF-51 Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500
Hey guys, just got the T7600 in and put it in the cf-51QG5EEBM 945 PM chipset with Version 3.00L22 bios and it boots up and goes to desktop so far no issues! core temps 38/45 and all looks good..............Driller

sorry, that was the 945 PM chipset, dyslexia shows up when you least expect it...........Driller

Re: CF-51 Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500
Just took T7600 and put it in the CF-51RC4KFBM with 945GM chipset bios phoenix V3.50L12 and it boots to bios and desktop, core temps 36/42. this unit has 8700 hours in bios. but it's working here as well. seems the issue may be something other than bios differences as the FSB here is 667mgz. still, I wonder why the T7500 worked on my gutway, it being a 800mhz which was originally a 667mhz 1.5 ghz C2D cpu. but anyhow,yahoooooooooooo!.........Driller

When we first started talking about the T7600 the prices were in the $99.99 -$129.99 of the ones I looked at...now they are a low of $149.99
Makes you wonder if someone is watching us........stupid question, yes

Re: CF-51 Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500
yeah, I noticed that too. anyway, got mine for 113.00 off the west coast. but don't think I'll find another one that cheap. Noticed that Rusty is back on NBR today. hope he's doing well. got in another T7200 cpu but haven't installed it yet, hopefully today. the T7600 is rolling right along. picked up a few more of the backlit VKBL03 keyboards for the cf-29's from crazychit guy. 29.95 plus. will keep eye open for reasonable T7600's.later.........Driller

I looked up benchmarks for a few processers to aid in guiding your improvement over stock
Using SuperPI in seconds (lower number is better)
T7600 22
T7400 24
T7200 25.8
T2300 35
Pentium M 2000 41.5
I am not sure what the old processer was that you guys have removed but I put the last two the t2300 and the PM 2000 for a reference
The jump from 7200 to 7400 and 7600 show a 10% improvement each time
The sweet spot for price without question is the T7200

Re: CF-51 Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500
I do agree, still just for curiosity, I'd love to get Rusty's cure using the T7500. I think this is still do-able. I'm glad the T7600 worked. You got any ideas on what "cost effective" laptop, preferably toughbook a T9600 might work on,probably a cf-52, but would love to get one of the intels with 6M l2 cache working some how and the cf-51-52's are the only ones with cpu upgradability that I'm aware of that can handle the 35 watts for cpu's, hope you're having a good day. fixin' to put the T7200 in another cf-51 RC4KFBM that I just got in......Driller

Hey
You guys are really forcing the prices out of the range for the normal buyer
Just look at this BIN price
