Is this CF-51 A MK3 LL ?
I just went to the panasonic driver downloads and just want to make sure I am reading this right . My 51 is a " CF-51RCLDFBM " and in the downloads it shows this " CF-51xxxxF/Nxx (MK3LL) " Am I looking at the right one. I have a chance to buy the restore disk for it but want to make sure it's the right one.

Re: Is this CF-51 A MK3 LL ?
Blair,
My 51, same as yours, arrived with OS which I trust was restored with recovery discs (not provided, nor did seller wanted to). However, I did ghost the original 4200rpm drive (Toshiba, I think) to an image which can be easily "re-dumped" to a new HDD.
In the PC Information Viewer, it states;
: Model No. CF-51RCLDFBM
: Serial No. 6LTYA24108
: OS Version Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
: BIOS V3.50L12
: Embedded Controller V3.50L12
: Preinstall Version CF-51MK3LL M[U/X]S V9.01L10 M00
I believe you're on the right track but let me know if you need the .gho file.

Re: Is this CF-51 A MK3 LL ?
Thank you for the offer.I am waiting for a guy from NBR to get back to me on a restore disk.I offered him $20.00 for one which is what I have been paying ($10.00 - $20.00) . I do have a windows XP sp2 cd so I could use it .I have already downloaded the drivers just in case he does not take the $20.00 .I am sending you a PM

Blair,
Of course we can do it the traditional way; fdisk, install XP, install drivers, etc... but it's so darn easy to go with recovery discs (as I found out with my buddy's CF-29) or dumping a .gho image. Let me know how the deal shakes out.

Re: Is this CF-51 A MK3 LL ?
Blair, will this help?

I've not installed OS from scratch but is there a "OS INF" download for the 51mk3? Going by the install order for most TBs, you've gotta get this particular one done first, then the others. The bluetooth is a mini plug-in module, not internal.
Let me know how it goes and have a great weekend.

Alternatively, I could upload the "util folder" that came with the unit but it's 369mb and I'm not sure how to FTP to "the members' corner". Going by email will be too large even after WinRar... will it? [PM your email anyway and I'll give it a shot]
