Why use a CF-M34?

I've never seen one in person, and so I'm trying to understand. The M34 looks like it's comparable (in terms of durability and processing power) to a CF-71 or early CF-72.

The M34 seems to be one of the more popular Pentium 3 models. Why? Are they especially small/lightweight?

ESPECIALLY SMALL!!! they have a 70% sized keyboard too... the screen is only 8.4".

I'll post pictures later comparing the CF-30 to the M34.

It’s the predecessor to the tablet models
It was popular as it was a very portable unit
The cf-18 has a much brighter slightly larger screen
The 18 is a much better choice at today’s used prices

i like my 3 CF-M34s because they are small and weight lighter as my other CF-27/28s and CF-29s. Its better to have a CF-M34 in your backpack when hiking/mountaineering, as a CF-29. because of the smaller dimensions and so.

I have four or five M34's and just cannot bring myself to get rid of them. Yes, they are slower and the graphics aren't up to today's standards, but they are still great little laptops, especially the 1GHz processor model with built in wifi.
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

Great carputer machines. My friend and I were going between the M34 and the CF-30 base only (no screen, keyboard, optical, doors, etc etc.) and we ended up going with the 30 because of the hard drive heater.

Because of their size and ease of disassembly, they are good candidates for custom paint schemes (I have already done one in OD/black and another in desert two-tone. I have posted the pics in the past, but will try to put them back up again.
