A pair of 256MB (or larger) SDRAM PC100 (100MHz) DIMM 168-pin RAM sticks.
I have an old Dell PC that only has 256MB of RAM in it now and I want to learn Umbutu on it and the recommended minimum is 384MB.

I have several 144 pin 256, but no 168.
One CF-52, four CF-18's, 4.5 CF-28's, one CF-29, five CF-M34's, two CF-37's, one CF-P2 and two CF-P1's. There are also two Getac A320T's, one Fieldpac and two IBM Transnotes. Not to mention the AMD 5600 CPU with three monitors and several HP PDA's. Whew! Must quit buying...no, must have MORE! Then there are the weapons...

What model is the dell . I have been cleaning out my shop the last 2 weeks and have been trashing/stripping a lot of old dells , nec , bell and gateway 2000 computers...remember the fast P100 / P120 and the super fast P180 Pro...I paid $5200.00 for that , I saved all the memory, gave away a lot but still have a few . If I knew the model it would help me find it.I still have about 10 or so to strip.

Azrial,
Hope you don't mind me tagging onto your thread as I didn't want to start another non-TB, non-laptop thread but like yourself, I find it difficult to throw out good working systems.
The last 2 remaining desktops I have at home uses Gigabyte & Abit mainboards on Win2k. Self-assembled and still stable albeit slow with multiple opened windows/applications. Wife uses the GA-8TX for work and the BL7 functions as a simple file/print/movie server. Both has 2x 128mb installed. Hoping to upgrade XP and max out the memory for both systems without losing an arm.
Gigabyte GA-8TX...1.6ghz
512mb 184-pin PC800 RAMBUS DRDRAM RIMM module (max 2gb)
supports ECC although my 2x 128mb aren't
Abit BL7-RAID... 1.8ghz, I think
512MB or 1gb SDRAM, PC133, Non-Parity Non-ECC, 133Mhz, 3.3v, 168 Pin DIMM (max 3gb)
Let me know if we can work something out. Many TIAs.
