CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
Re: CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
Oh and there's a quite cheap Mk3 upper on eBay Lithuana: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222222110391
Re: CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
Let me see if I got this right. I cannot take the LCD element and touchscreen digitizer from (as an example) MK3 (10.4”) to use in my MK7 bezel. I can however by and use a complete LCD screen assembly from a MK3 or later, as long as I don’t connect the ALS cable (witch btw would be?).

Re: CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
I think you have that wrong.
He is saying a BARE lcd from a mk3 or mk4 WILL work in your housing/bezel. You must use the mk7 wiring.

Life will beat you into submission.
Re: CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
Guess maybe it's my lack of language comprehension, but I still don’t get it. As I understood it the LCD element from an older model could not be used in the current bezel. I have no problem using either the existing cabling or not having ALS connected.

Ok guys. I think everyone is getting confused now. Lets reread Teo's post again.teo wrote:You can still use the complete LCD panel from MK3 or MK4. Just disconnect the sensor. Its useless anyway as User32 said. Also it has better screen than those from MK5 or MK6. Use the existing cable of your unit though.
