Last time home I picked up a CF-19K. It was cheap, but it was beat to hell. I just about put all of it in a CF-19 Mk1 case but after looking and seeing even though it had broke spots the rubber water seals weren't broken around the screen and with a new bottom on the Mk3 original chassis. This also saved me trying to swap over the touchscreen.
So with dips, breaks, etc I fixed what was needed. Screen swivel parts, new top holder for the screen swivel lock the old one was busted, new bottom to seal it from a Mk1 (had to remove a plastic part for it to fix. The wiring to the screen the green antenna wire had damage on it's coating so I black tapped that, the white wire was tore in half so I replaced it with a CF-18 antenna( Mk3 antenna end was broke in half to allow install of the 18 antenna.). Back tracking all of those wires are a pain. By this time I could tell someone had been inside it before to "fix" it.
Right now to make sure everything worked after having to pull the motherboard I dropped in a CF-18 battery and a caddy I have with Mint 15 for testing. Touch works, sound works, so It looks like it's going to be ok. So now I have a new beater to replace my really nice Mk3 I had before someone made me a offer I couldn't refuse.
I will be upping the ram, dual booting ubuntu and 7, and dropping a SSD into it, but the SDD may have to wait as all I think I have left are 40gb units.
Anyone need the gobi2000 card? I won't be needing it.

I got two or three more Mk1/2 builds I hope to complete over the next couple of days.
