GRUB Rescue

So the other night I installed "Cheeze" and a new camera that I had picked up from a thrift store. The camera did not work, so there is 17 cents I will never see again...

I then watched several YouTube videos. I decided to try the camera quickly under Win7 on this dual boot computer before throwing the camera in the trash. I was one of the old Logitecs that had the highpass filter you could tear out and get some cheap night vision.

When I tried to reboot the machine into Windows7 it wanted to go into recovery mode. I said no and restarted. Evidently this was a mistake as the system now comes up in a new useless, as most of the commands I found online do not work, GRUB Rescue Menu!

I have heard that there is a tool out there that will resolve this problem, but have failed to locate it yet. Any experience here.

To be honest, in the last week, I have had Ubuntu 15.05 crash 2 healthy computers. I am beginning to doubt the stability of this OS! I know that is not an LTS version, but still, I have come to expect more from Ubuntu Linux!

I've used boot-repair-disk at least twice on some seriously hosed servers. It should do the trick.

I've also used it to change boot order for w7 and linux dual boots.

When I try to download any of the disc images I get 'Problem loading page'. With the link Bill posted, the download is a torrent but when loaded into the torrent client, shows no seeds or leachers. I can load web pages but can not download. Even tried disabling firewall with no improvement. Anyone else having the same problem? Thanks.

Just down loaded each myself. The source forge rescue a tux takes the longest. 6 min to fully download here. But also running 3 other machines with updates ect at this moment for customer repairs.

Wow for some reason it took a few tries to get the sourceforge link for rescueatux to copy right to the forum page. The others worked fine when I rechecked them but that one took a couple of copy and paste reeddits to get it right. I must be getting old.
I use either one to fix boot issues on dual boot machines.

As usual W7 does not like other programs controlling the menu. 0x000025 and 0x00000001 errors....which I could fix with a W7 disk but I want to fix it my way.
