Greetings all,
I just purchased a cf-30, mk 3 off of ebay, (http://www.ebay.com/itm/161426447741?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT) with windows 7 installed. I can not get the sound card to work. I downloaded the drivers from Panasonic and re-installed them and still nothing. I checked the device manager and don't see anything suspicious. Any ideas??

1. Do a power pull reset. (Pull power and hold switch down until your finger gets tired.)
2. Plug in power supply only and F9 in bios then F10. Re-boot twice.
3. It was probably not set up with the driver bundle. Panasonic driver bundle will find it with Google.
4. Often sound is affected by HotkeySetting.
5. One other thing I have seen is shutting down with Linux with sound muted and then switching to W$...and it's still muted. So...back to Linux unmute then to W$ and sound is fine.

Re: no sound on cf-30, mk 3
It appears that the version of windows 7 installed IS NOT an OEM version and that they installed W7 and then the drivers. I did down load the proper windows 7 driver bundle from Panasonic but no luck on getting the speaker to work.Sadlmkr wrote:1. Do a power pull reset. Re: no sound on cf-30, mk 3
This is the email that I received from the seller..
Hello Danny,
Due to recent windows update once sound is muted by Fn+F4 key combination it stays muted. We've noticed this last week and already updated our master image.
To resolve this you need to do the following:
Go to:
http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/docs/01 ... &trn_org=2
and download "Hotkey Appendix Utility"
Run it and it will extract to c:\util2\ , go to the folder and run setup/install file.
After reboot press Fn+F4(mute/unmute) key and sound will be back.
However you will notice that now screen brightness cannot be adjusted. Video driver update is required to resolve.
Go to: http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/docs/01 ... &trn_org=2
and download "Video Driver"
Run it and it will extract to c:\util2\drivers\video
Go to that folder and run setup. After this reboot and both sound and screen brightness adjustment should work(fn+f1/f2 keys).
Please let me know if these steps solve the problem.
Thanks
Regards,
Andrew
