Bought a WWAN sled and Gobi2000 from separate sellers on EBAY, assembled them, set the DIP switches to the UNDP1 setting and slotted it into my CF30, turned it back on, went into BIOS and theres no option coming up in the advanced screen to enable the WWAN card like theres supposed to be.
Has anyone had this happen before?
WWAN sled not showing in bios?

Re: WWAN sled not showing in bios?
Just to make sure.....is the Gobi showing in device manager?
If so:
Right click properties (in device manager)
cruise over to Details tab.
One click down shows Hardware Id. Copy the top line down.
Confirming if it is a Panasonic Gobi. It matters.
You may also look at the sled...there is a upgrade called something like Pan03-RevA. Check it out.

Re: WWAN sled not showing in bios?
If it is from a Lenovo , dell or any other laptop it will not work. Must be from a Panasonic Toughbook.

Re: WWAN sled not showing in bios?
It was advertised as a toughbook unit, and when it arrived even had a Heartland sticker on it (looks like a supermarket price tag)
Its now showing up as enabled in BIOS after a couple of battery out reboots, and is showing up in device manager. All I've gotta do now is find the correct drivers for it
Hardware ID: USB\VID_04DA&PID_250E&REV_0002
