You will need the whole caddy and drive....Last one cost me $50 on ebay..They are very hard to find....

Here is the thing to look for.

Ok, so how do you tell? The connector inside my laptop and the dvd are the same. So I assume the sata and pata are identical? How could you tell it's pata, the part number?

UMMM..... the red circle and arrows...That extra pin is only on the SATA drives.

Ooh, ok. Seen the extra pin, but didn't know it was only on the satas. I looked inside the laptop slot and it has holes for the two pins that mine has plus one more off to the side. So you can put a pata drive into a sata pc but not the other way around. I'm learning... Thanks!
