This used to happen on, dare I say, my Dell... I am typing on the keyboard and everything is fine... Then my thumb accidentally hits the touchpad while typing and it sends the cursor to a new line and starts typing.... For you guys that KNOW how to type.. This probably is no problem... But I type sentences before looking at the screen and it is KILLING me!
How do I stop this? I thought there was a thing in the mouse section that says something about "Disable touchpad while typing" but I do not see it.
Point me home gentlemen!
Thanks!

Years ago on my netbooks, I would disable touchpad tapping altogether since I always used the buttons to click anyway. I never really liked tap-to-click.

There is usually a "palm check" option as well. Basically for when you have sustained contact with the touchpad. Otherwise, just turn off tap to click or turn the sensitivity all the way down.
