Recovery Disks to USB
Greetings!
I am sure there has to be a way to merge the 3 recovery disks and make them bootable off of a USB. I can't find much information on the subject and was wondering if anyone here could shed some light. I have a CF-29L3Q71BE that I'm trying to fix and no DVD burner at my disposal. I was going to use my room mate's laptop to do the dirty work, but it has had a lot of issues and now is finally kaput, won't turn on. What luck, eh?

This is the topic I've been trying to piece things together from, but each time I try to boot up I get an error. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Re: Recovery Disks to USB
I'm sure its been tried and someone will report back,if all else fails a cheap USB DVD drive might be the ticket. I'm assuming it would end up being a DOS boot USB. Strictly guessing here.
Also about $30 will score you the proper DVD drive for that 29.

I can't afford to upgrade my drive right now, but thank you for the feedback. I have very limited knowledge of DOS so fingers crossed someone reports back soon.

I am guessing this is your first ToughbookI am sure there has to be a way to merge the 3 recovery disks and make them bootable off of a USB

If your friends laptop is the same as yours it would work but if it's different forget it. These disks will only work on your model (MK4) Does your disks say MK4 ??I was going to use my room mate's laptop to do the dirty work

No, it is a crappy Toshiba. It has been having various issues for awhile now and I guess it finally bit the dust.
Re: Recovery Disks to USB
or you could maybe use 3 usb sticks???
That would be a new angle on it.

I'm trying to rustle up a third USB to test this out. I know there are several floating around somewhere... When I do find one, how should I load the .isos onto the USB?
