WTB HDD, caddy and Win XP Pro for a CF-T5
WTB HDD, caddy and Win XP Pro for a CF-T5
I have a very nice CF-T5 MWETZBM that I would like to get back into stock/factory specs. It came to me without the HDD and software. First time posting, so please be gentle. Thanks!
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

There is really nothing to the caddy,a plastic sleeve and foam,I would just use a couple of strips of padded foam and any ide drive and you will be in business.
Is the bottom cover there? If not that's a different story.Got to have that cover.

He is correct, not much to it. It's the same thing for the T5,7,8 and the W and Y models. Just a little foam. The T5 will be fanless, but also uses a Micro RAM. If you decide you like that model and want a newer one. Look for a T8. That would give you SATA hookup for the hard drive, It has a fan, uses standard size ram and LED screen.

Thanks for the replies, y'all. I have not cracked the case on the T5 yet. Its hard drive was replaced with a 60GB solid state module; running Xubuntu 14.04.
I got a 64GB SDHC dedicated to this machine for data files. Works nicely.
Maybe I should leave this little hot-rod alone....

If you want a twin to your unit I have one.
Toshiba MK6034GAX drive /Zorin OS.
Three or four bright spots in the screen. Otherwise nice. Has a strap and stylus. Excellent battery. XP COA.
Welcome to the party.
