I'll ship each of you a 3 pound hammer.
This may help?

Re: CF-74GCDEKBM BIOS Locked
Okay... A three pound hammer is a good start. I actually started today with a 4 pound hammer but I can always adjust!
(I seriously DID start the day with a 4 pound sledgehammer... No BS!) lol

Rugged Toughbooks of all types... CF-31s, CF-30s, CF-29s, CF-19s, CF-52s, CF-53s, CF-74s, CF-H2... Hmmm... What else can I buy, build or modify?

Re: CF-74GCDEKBM BIOS Locked
Theres a guy on ebay that has hundreds of 74's,all bios locked that he can't give away. Tried to make me a deal on several.....no thank you.
2 CF-30Mk3's, 2 CF-71's, CF-L1, 3 CF-72's, CF-73, CF-74, CF-48, CF-50, CF-51Mk3, 2 CF-19's,7 CF-52's, FZ-A1 and other assorted beaters.
Re: CF-74GCDEKBM BIOS Locked
BIOS update upgrade switches.
Onirakriss posted these on NBR.
I wanted them here so we can find them in the future.
In ur BIOS flasher bu74m2 I found this:
Usage> %s [switches] filename
switches:
-mMachineName : Specify machine name
-f : Wait for no key, update forced
-f0 : No key input needed but can check successfull update
-r : Reboot even if power-off sequence is supported
-a : Use APM to Check AC and Battery status.
or > %s -rchk version
where version is the expected BIOS version (such as 1.23)
If current version is newer than expected, exit code is 0
If current version is equal to expected, exit code is 1
If current version is older than expected, exit code is 2
Otherwise 255 will be returned
or > %s -mlist
Print supported machines list.
So I would try -rchk version from ur laptop
