Re: New Toshiba/OCZ SSD's
Thanks for the info Shawn.
It will take a lot more than a marketing write up before I change from the Intel, Crucial and Samsung SSDs I use. Come to think of it, I can't see myself changing regardless.
I paid CAN$300 for the last 2 Intel Series 530 240GB SSDs I bought locally, NIB.

CF-29LTQ,CF-31SBM,CF-52youngGUN,
Life's Journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn-out shouting 'Woo Hoo! What a ride!
Motorsports - the only real sport. If it doesn't have a motor, it is just a game.
There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

Re: New Toshiba/OCZ SSD's
Nope not yet but I would watch which company name is on the box. OCZ Storage Solutions (full warranty) or OCZ Technology Group (warranty until Jan 31,2015)ADOR wrote:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 28074-L04B

Please note, OCZ Storage Solutions - A Toshiba Group Company is not the same organization as OCZ Technology Group. Through bankruptcy proceedings, Toshiba Corporation has acquired substantially all the assets from OCZ Technology Group but most liabilities, including outstanding warranties, have been excluded from that acquisition. As a result, OCZ Storage Solutions is only able to provide warranty support for certain products, as follows http://ocz.com/consumer/support/warranty

Re: New Toshiba/OCZ SSD's
I still stick to the other big names for now, just curious if they were a little better now. I remember reading one review where they had changed up some stuff on the controllers.
