I was thinking more and more about the bandwidth thing here and I have found another alternate solution that I think will cost less money for me too as we grow bigger and bigger.
For $233/month I can get a 20M/20M connection that is on the backbone of the US and is MUCH more reliable than Comcast. To this point, Comcast has been pretty reliable so I have no complains there. It's an additional $10/month per 1MB more bandwidth on a symmetrical connection. I'd STILL have to pay $135/month for internet at my house as I'd want a VPN set up for server management between the 2 endpoints (similar to what I have now). If I didn't have the $135/month internet at my house I'd still pay $65/month for basic home service that that equals out to $303/month total expenses if I did the datacenter - Kind of a wash.
To put it into perspective now I pay:
$135/month for internet (Will be $175 once I get the 75M/15M line)
$65 - $90/month on power
That is an upwards of $300/month for 15M worth of bandwidth.
When I get my house I'll have a standard standby generator anyways to power it. I'm still neutral on the whole thing.

What are your guys thoughts about taking this new bad-ass server and putting it in the racks at a dedicated server center that already has dedicated power and generators and backup internet lines?
Thanks!
