I did some reading on NBR forum on this but I wanted to double check here to make sure I got it right and also might make some good reading for any on here . My CF-29C MK1 has 512mb built in .My owners manual says 756 max . I had a 256 mb in my tool box and installed it just to see what happens, 768 total now. So do I order a 512 MB or 1 MB . (200pin ddr1 pc2700 memory) My guess 512mb from what I have read on NBR forum ?

You should be able to order a 1GB module and that would bring it up to 1.28GB... If you use a 512MB module then of coarse it would have 768MB. I had a Mark 3 CF-29 a LONG time ago and it had 256MB built in and I had a 1GB stick in the one slot that it had.

As Alex stated, the CF-29's (& CF-30's) aren't very fussy. I've made it a habit over the last 10 years of owning laptops to use Kingston RAM as I seem to have good luck with it (both in my CF-29 and my CF-30...)

I agree with you guys on Kingston memory. I have them in my 3 laptops and also in my desktops. I am going to order a 1 GB Ram ,
I checked eBay and found only a couple but to ship to canada for $18.00 US + $45.00 = $63.00US ($75.00 CAN) .I DONT THINK SO , not counting duty when he only charges $3.00 to ship in USA . My total price @ newegg.ca is about $63.00 CAN. Anybody know a better price or is this about right.
Thanks guys
Blair

That's about right... the price has gone up because DDR2 and DDR3 are going mainstream more and more so that drives the cost of the "old stuff" up through the roof!! The average price of a 512MB PC 133 stick is about $80-$130 these days

I just got my memory today. With 512mb on the mother board and the 1 gb I just got it gives me 1.5gb (1.49), booted up with no problems at all. Panasonic will tell you 768mb is the max for my model #CF-29C MK1 Blair
