Blair, yes

You need a dock to do ANY ports with this unit. I own one myself and don't have a dock. You don't NEED one, but they are handy. They are EXPENSIVE though.

You have bluetooth and wifi so you can still hook up a mouse, keyboard and speakers and transfer files no problem :)

I wanted it for using my GPS (usb) but thats out...damn but if I do pick up a cheap dock I will be back.
