So much for fixing my beater, it's getting stripped now.

I have 2 CF-18, the backlight failed on one.

Did some research and most links that I found point to the backlight inverter.

So I did a one for one swap, still no backlight, the original (suspect) inverter works perfectly in my other CF-18.

So it wasn't / isn't the inverter.

Any ideas?

Brand new in the packet. It was acquired for a CF-18, but if it fits others great. I'll post it to you, but it won't be sent next day express delivery, or if you're in the neighbourhood collect for free. Then I'll fix my original 18 and my 19 (and i'll prolly repair the 18 with the power problem, and be even more short of parts (but you know how that goes) it will be ha...

I obviously need to get a new screen for the CF-19.

What is the 'best' screen that I can fit into 1 CF-19 MK3? I may as well try to upgrade it if feasible / possible.

I have a CF-19 that I bought with a broken screen, somehow the outer case of the lid was cracked along will the LCD screen, but amazingly the digitizer survived. This unit turns on and everything seems to work. CF-19KDRL66B Also I have a CF-18 with a problem somewhere in the power side, it runs fine...
