Re: China / Asia shipping
As far as the e-packets go, I have had several the same way lately. It looks like they are all shipped to NYC, quick clear customs and then are sent out for delivery. NYC and Rutherford, NJ are BIG USPS service centers close to the airline hubs.

Re: Windows 8 possible?
All the Techies that I have talked to say Win8 is another ME. They are waiting for 8.1 to release and fix the mess now released. I have Win8 on the new desktop I got, and it does require relearning. The main thing is the new shut-down procedure, tons of fun. The UI is different and a pain in the nec...

Re: CF-29 SATA CADDY
Glad to hear you got it working Blair, :tool: Now you understand what I meant when I said, It is a tighter fit. Be careful when squeeeeezing it back together. LOL. I have two caddies that I now swap back and forth, one with XP on a 640gb. And Win7 on a 250gb. It just takes time to get it figur...

Re: "Federal Only" Toughbooks
Andy, The Federal government may only want the computers used in "Their Internal" networks. I have a MK3 "Fed" that had all and was wired for wlan (WIFI). All I had to do was install the card. My MK3 came with a working, functional toughscreen. It is not wired for wireless intern...

Re: CF-29 SATA CADDY
Blair, That is a fault of Winslows and Bios. 146 of 160gb is normal. Windows and BIOS report low, always, and You loose a small portion for hidden system files and the recycle/Control files. I found when I installed Win7, on my new 250 SATA, the drive would not recognize the Win7 disk. I installed X...

Re: CF-29 SATA CADDY
Important Update: I just DESTROYED an adapter. After all the checking I did about squeezing the HD back into the caddy, I missed the fact that with the 90 deg. brace in the top plate of the caddy it stresses the SATA adapter to the point that it will crack the top lip of the adapter causing t...
