Re: Debian 12 (Bookworm) has been released.
I didn't here about it either. I will probably attempt an 11 to 12 upgrade on one of my less critical devices then see what breaks. I wouldn't ever do that to a server but with a desktop computer I've been usually successful.

Re: Autocad run on toughbook
Hi,
I think the limiting factor will be the GPU. I'm not up to speed on all the latest models, but a 55 with the AMD Radeon Pro WX4150 would certainly do the trick in my opinion.

Re: CF-19 Mk 8 vs CF-31 Mk 5
A CF-31 in a dock is awesome. It can power up two screens in addition to its own. I love the CF-19 when space is an issue, but still need ruggedness.

Re: AlmaLinux
I haven't played around with it much. I don't particularly think it has any advantage over what I usually in the context of a desktop PC. But I still needed to try it and test a few things out to hopefully gain some insights that will eventually trickle its way to my Cloudlinux servers. All new web ...

Re: 5G WWAN for CF-31?
Mini PCIE slots that the CF-31 uses cannot accommodate the transfer rates that 5G will need anyway (which to make things worse: the CF-31 WWAN modules used the USB lines). So manufacturers like Sierra have no reason to make any modules for that connector. For laptops that means they'll only make the...

AlmaLinux
Hello, My new project is installing AlmaLinux OS on a CF-31 MK4. Why? I have a few reasons. Mostly, I wanted to have an rpm-based OS like I use at work, to play around with at home for a change. I've been a staunch Debian user for many years. At the office I use mostly Cloudinux which is a resource ...
