CF-18 Dead Motherboard

I have two CF-18's I am working on that I think have dead motherboards. Neither will power up at all. No lights or beeps or all. I have tried power up with a good charged batter and original Panasonic charger that I use regularly. What are the common (if any) connections and motherboard failures with CF-18's? I have a spare board that is suppose to be good, but was told it has a bad battery port on it. So I can swap it out on one of them.
