Upgrading internal WWAN to DC-HSPA

So this CF-30 I got has a WWAN card in it, currently a Novatel U860D which does 3.6mbps HSPA. Now, with Telus in Canada we can go dual-cell to get 42mbps. Anybody know if I can use the Sierra Wireless MC8801 or at least MC8704/MC8705?.. and if it's just a straight swap of the mini-PCIe module?

I don't think the Bell/Telus network supports Gobi yet (even if unannounced), can anyone chime in?

You can use goobi either 1000 or 2000. Using the pana CSA package and then create your own profile. IF it is a gsm network use the At&t and if it is a CDMA you may use verizon and create an special profile respectively. Just ask to them an APN code. One fellow Canadian was already done that and the detailed was posted on NBR.

Oh ok! Thanks! So that means the WWAN sled can stay the same, just the module needs to be swapped then.

I have the APNs...
isp.telus.com (regular aircard)
vpn.telus.com (if you have the VPN option)

Yup! Just change only the card and on your own profile use auto option for VPN.
