I think the "magic smoke" went up this guys nostrils, one mans ceiling is another mans floor. at that rate I could let go of at least 6 CF-51's similarly equipped, some with less hours on the clock. Now let's go look at that GE stock I just bought at 15. Anybody watching?.............Driller

Lets not talk about stock prices around me

I bought my cf-30 2 years ago after pulling what I had left out of the markets after loosing big time
Buying the new cf-30 was an easy choice and $3000 was really just a drop in the bucket , as if I would of cashed in one month before, I could of purchased 30 of them a gave them out as gifts to all my forum friends and still be farther ahead :pat:

don't put any stock in any stock tips I give, I lost a lot then as well and now just put it in safest thing I can find. will be turning 60 soon enuf and retirement isn't going to happen so I'll work till I drop. wonder if we'll ever figure out the T7500 pathway and am sorry the prices for all this stuff keeps going up. there must be a lot of those people watching our posts and betting on the toughbook stock market as we muse and figure things out. but I ain't the brains behind it, I just don't mind trying in parts to see if it will or won't work. too stupid to know any better, anyway , here's to exploring,.......Driller

My father played around with the stock market for over 45 years and did very good but as he put it to me , ONE wrong move and 45 years of building up a very good nest egg could be GONE  . After dad passed away I found this under his bed, he was always a good joker but the thing was , dad never found out that when the stock market crashed after he had his stroke so did his nest egg......Nortel @*#$@ sucks. Check out the penny taped on the note

The crash 2 years ago effected everyone I know
As much as 40% gone in retirement values and real estate in my area in a few months

A millionaire I work for has a saying

Don't worry it's only money

I like the old saying

I Started Out With Nothin And I Still Got Most Of It Left

I was left in several wills what would have amounted to a fortune well above six figures, but always had it vanish with documentation as well. None of that matters, what your Dad left you in that penny was what no amount of money can buy. Humor and wisdom and understanding. The ability to see the nature of things and understanding was an ability to see their differences. Money never made me what I am, and facing some of those that had it that thought I'd sell my soul for it made no gains for them. I ain't cheap, but I can be had. Dad gave me the wealth of his respect for me and love. A lesson I've passed on to my son.............Driller

It's still going strong. looking to upgrade the ram and hard drive. just got another T7200 and put it in one of the cf-51 Q models and waiting for 3 hard drive caddies I got off ebay 60 each. stupid, but I'm trying to get them all assembled. am looking and wondering if a T9500 might work on one of the cf-51 core duo's, but if not might try it in my gutway since it took the T7500 with no issues. it started out a 667 FSB , and made the jump to 800ghz. same with the T7500 800 FSB. it won't work on cf-51 might work on gutway. really has speeded things up with this laptop, but it wasn't cheap in 2007 when I bought it at best buy. Now that I've learned a little about the toughbooks I don't mind experimenting just to see if things work. got a few more of the engenius plus s wifi cards for the cf-29's in mail today, and have one of those atheros cards they were talking about on toughbook forum but haven;t installed it yet. got a touchscreen that's supposed to work that I'm gonna try on a mk 4 cf-29 that takes the 2gb upgrade and see how it works. picked up several backlit KB's and looking to swap them out. but have to work to pay for all this crap. good luck on a T7600, hope you can find a deal. I know there is some more speed but don't know if the vast difference in price say 50 up to 140 is worth that much more. just max out ram and get a fast hdd and that would be great. If I find anything interesting I'll let you know. been doing bible study for 7 years now in BSF and something in the lesson said that when the holy spirit fills you all kinds of knowledge and understanding is given over to you. believe me , I think there is something here. someday I'll tell you some of these things that has happened over a lifetime..........Driller

Well I guess the only thing left for me to do is the T7600 swap :D
