$$ caddys and cd-roms $$

#1 Post by toughasnails »

toughnut :blowaway: Bet you will not pass up a deal like that again but as toughbook put it 6 months ago we were buying them for $40.00-$45.00 and cd-roms for $23.00 (3 for $78.00 shipped) and now look at the prices. The lowest I seen then lately is $70.00 . Most sellers are throwing a cheap HD in them and asking up the :booty: for them $135.00-$175.00 :blowaway: NUTS

well... given my present retrenched status, I'm unlikely to dip into fleabay for a while unless the caddies are like 25bucks without the crappy HDDs! But... HAH!... like that will ever happen! That said, I bought a new 29 caddy with 40gb HDD (Aug '08 @ $79.99) long before I could afford the 29mk5... I just knew I had to have one!!

However, I did get my grubby hands on 4 of those $23 CDD caddies, 2 went to my buddy (I infected him with a 29mk3) while the remaining 2 were outfitted with DVDRW LightScribe drives (and again, thanks to Rick for paving the way for the mod).

Fleabay is a funny thing... there are bargains to be had BUT shout about it after the deal is done. Given the free adverts and exposure here and NBR... well, Blair... you know...
