I don't know just yet, only that it's a Mk3 with a Radeon X1300, Core 2 Duo, UXGA, nothing beyond the usual build.

That UXGA makes me nervous. If I was you I wouldn't order a T7600 just yet. Do you have the full model number? In my feeble mind UXGA = Pentium.

Correct me please.

I think he will be ok Jeff, it sounds like the "new one" that I have. There is two types of the CF-51 mk3. MK3 and MK3LL and my guess you have a MK3 coming.

Yes, I know it's a Mk3. Just would like to get some idea of what the internals are like before I start the operation. It doesn't have to be exact.

Thanks. :)

The cpu upgrade is very easy to do. I have done both of them .....T72000 and the T7600. I found the T7200 the best because the fan runs the way it should and runs cooler and the price is cheaper. The T7600 runs hotter and the fan runs almost all the time and cost about $80.00 more....good luck :)

So heat is an issue eh?

Another thing I was considering is dropping one of the low voltage processors in there, but I think the horsepower loss would kill me (I think they start at like 1.3Ghz and scale up to 1.5Ghz or something). I probably should've purchased a good old T7200, but I assumed because of the wattage draw (which is the same rating) they would be about as hot as any other. Heat sort of bothers me so I am now I am concerned about my choice... Any suggested thermal compound/thermal pad that might help dissipate the heat a bit?

I may just have to resell my T7600 for a T7200, got an alright deal anyhow and maybe could make a buck. We'll see.
