They are MK3,I also have a chance to get MK2 and 3 from a guy that are locked up.I still have one of the above 30's.

As far as I know there is no way to remove the password on a CF-30MK3. One of our forum members "Rusty" did but he had to remove / replace the chip with a new one.

well we can add 4 more cf-30 mk3's to the pile of locked bios. I pulled them from ebay at a very good price and they are like new. I will be trying to find a solution. anybody comes up with something please let me know.

Yep,the only way is replace the chip or the motherboard.I know a guy with piles of MK3's for sale with bios lock,a darn shame. :D

Good luck...been there...done that . :damnit:

The ones you bought, is anything disabled. I was lucky , every thing works fine. Touchscreen needs some work but it's OK.

yeah, loaded w7 on my mk2 using spare drive/caddie put into all mk3's and none booted

Try a Linux live cd or a Linux bootable USB stick

Mk2 drive in a mk3 might not boot or bsod, like he said try live cd mint 15 or unbuntu 10.10. :D

I know that a mk3 drive works in a mk2. The hardware is not very different
