CF-19 Advice

Hi: Have CF-19 Mk6 running fine. Bought a group of CF-19's on ebay. One has a camera. I am thinking of putting the camera/main board in my currently working CF-19. I need to pull out one of my 8gb memory sticks to accommodation camera. Anyone have opinion as to whether this is good idea? Also have SDXC card for added storage.

Is this going from a Mk6 to a Mk6. The Mk3 to Mk8 chassis should all be the same. But I have seen some of the daughterboards marked with what MK they come from. May have to swap out all of your daughterboards as well.

Yes, Mk6 to Mk6. I just ordered SSD and battery. I think I will just try the one with the camera first.

Just don't like losing 1/2 the memory.

Thanks. I have been researching. Trying to find 1 stick 32gb. No luck so far. Any suggestions? I Was going to run https://www.compuram.de/blog/en/raminator/ which supposedly tells you how much ram you can put in, but got warning so I backed off.

I haven't personally tried mine over 16gb of ram with two 8gb sticks. But I have read where others have used 32 gb in their machines. The newer toughbooks aren't as picky about RAM as the older ones were.

I purchased an SSD taken from a from Toughbook CF-19 Mk8 Emergency service/Ambulance/EMS etc.. Filled with all sorts of programs etc. F:\Drivers\19Z_Mk8_Win10x64_1709 drivers/installers for anything I can imagine. FPrint, camera, gps etc etc.

Should I be able to run my CF-19 mk6 Win 10 (W/Camera/GPS/FPrint from this SSD OS or are the drivers locked onto a specific Mark #?

If the hardware is the same (same camera type) that will work. But some of the other drivers will have to be swapped for the Mk6 drivers. It should boot and work though.
