Autocad run on toughbook

#1 Post by poxy »

Hi, I'm looking to work on Autocad and meanwhile i'm looking to change my cf-19 mk5 for 20 or 33. Someone know if cf-20, 33 or another models is good enough to run Autocad? Do I have another option ? I heard about docking station could help? Thanks

Hi,

I think the limiting factor will be the GPU. I'm not up to speed on all the latest models, but a 55 with the AMD Radeon Pro WX4150 would certainly do the trick in my opinion.

Not even close if it's modern Autodesk/Cad/Inventor. Trust me on this lol. I manage a massive manufacturing company.

I don't know the exact version but I figure it's the last one. I plan to follow autocad formation. Any suggestions for tough laptop could run autocad

Your best bet would be an MK2 FZ-55 for semi-rugged with 64GB RAM to get the best Iris GPU possible or an FZ-40 MK1 - same with 64GB RAM.

Also upgrade the stock slow SSD to a new Samsung 970 Pro NVME and that will help. Even with all that it'll be maybe a 4/10 as it's not designed to run AutoCAD.
