Windows 10 certified CF-31?

#1 Post by SJLPHI »

Hello,

I've had a CF-19 for a while and I really liked it but since I upgraded my Mk 6 from Windows 7 to Windows 10, every few update made the computer unstable. I don't know what the reason was at the end but I gave up and decided to get myself a Mk 8 and so far no crash and I am quite happy.

Now, I've been wanting to get a CF-31 for a long time and with my underclock "addiction" I want Mk 5. I remember reading that within CF-19 branches, Mk 8 is the only one that has Windows 10 certification. Is there such certification for CF-31? I would guess since 5th gen on Mk5 came out after Windows 10 came out, it must be certified for W10, no? I am reading at this forums that a lot of people are having stability issues with W10 so I am a bit hesitant on spending the money.

We have a Mk1 at work that I put 10 on. Worked fine for a while, then got slow, then WiFi would intermittently stop working. I tried using a usb WiFi dongle, same result. I wiped the ssd and reinstalled 7 pro, internal WiFi works perfectly again and speed came back to normal. It must not have liked 10 very much. I think it’s the same model as yours.

Yes MK2 will run it but you have to get creative with the drivers. Need at a minimum 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Ideally for modern worlds you'd want 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. We prefer Samsung SSD's.
