Re: So... who's gonna start a thread about FZ-55?

I purchased a FZ-55 MK2 about a month ago. My desktop took a dump in my auto shop so I replaced it with my CF-54 which left me needing a new one. The model I decided on is FZ-55FZ008KM along with some added X-Packs. I can really tell a big difference from the 54's i-5 to the 55's i-7. I think I'm going to replace the SSD with a Samsung. I'm not too familiar with Toshiba SSD's but the articles I have come across the performance is sub par. I have many years experience using Samsungs and they have been rock solid for me.
As we all know about the upgrades from the 54, there are a few things that I wish they did differently. If you have to remove the SD card you better have small fingers or a pair of tweezers. As noted above you can't use a USB dongle and close the door. I really like that the stylus fits into a slot for safe keeping.
I have been purchasing my Toughbooks and other items from Mooring Tech for many years and could never be more satisfied. With them being local it was an added bonus. . It wasn't until this purchase that I realized that they are now part of Rugged Depot. I can only hope that the great things with Mooring Tech are being implemented by Rugged Depot.
