I have a CF-31 that was upgraded to windows 7 64-bit using a generic windows disk. One of our officers was noticing that the fn+f1 and fn+f2 work, but that the dimness goes in steps of 50%. So there's "Full" - "half" - and "screen off" in the steps. At night, the screen is so bright, that the computer can't be used in the car because it's to bright. I was wondering if there was a tool or utility that was missed in the setup process that would fix this? I tried looking for drivers and utilities on the panasonic support site, but i had no luck.
I've also updated all the video drivers and tried installing AMD and Nvidia drivers (They didn't take).
One option that I've considered is purchasing the model ISO and restoring from that, but wanted to see if there are any other less-costly solutions.
Thanks in advance.

Re: CF-31 MK1 Screen Brightness
try running the driver bundle from Panasonic. Run in administrator mode.
recovery disk set should be $35 shipping included
