Wonder if Win-10 would work on a MK1 or a MK2 ?

I would think it would, may be a little heavy for a 1.06 dual core and may have to turn off some of the bells and whistles. Main thing to do a search on would be the chipset/video to see how comparable that is.

With 4GB max RAM, open more than two programs and it'd be as slow as a drunk one-legged dog.

Well that's about all I have 19 wise. I hate windopes, but the wife still uses it. She liked the Dell I did for my son for collage, so trying to set her up with something decent. I have a couple of Dell XT's but they are too flimsy and work best with the pen over finger touch. Love the way the 19's I have work on Linux and was hoping.... Ah well such is life.

Ok here we go. Bump it. I'm gonna try 10 on a mk 1 and 8.1 as well. Touch before the digitizer machine I have. HOWEVER I'm going the long way. XP or 7 fully functional for the unit first. THEN start the "upgrade" process.

All fully functional and activated. At least that's the plan.

The worse thing that can come of it is a waste of time. Al-tho being a learning experience is rarely a waste of time. Damn I sound like my Gran-Pa. LOL. That's cool.

Took a W7 pro 64 bit install, bumped it to 8.1 pro. So far not bad at all. Have to recalibrate the touch. Seems about 1/2 inch off from actual. This is on my CF-19fhgaxam if I remember this is a MK2 .

Wireless is fully functional and it was seeking blutooth, which I canceled, so will recheck that later. Not too bad so far. After I play with this incarnation I'll go on to 10. Oh and it's only 3gb ram. Wanted to go with 32 bit but this is what I grabed off the shelf, disk wise. (got quite a collection of OS's" . Oh and yea just got the install activated too so it is a valid install. This now makes 3 windopes accounts crap.

Pix to come later.

If you decide to keep 8 on there and want a windows 7 style desktop just install "classic Shell" take the tiles away too.
