Anyone done it? It supports 300M/867M (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) and the box I'm eyeing is a 450x1.3G box so I'm *kinda* future proofing...

I'm getting ready to upgrade my main AP that runs my entire house and of course my tech shop accordingly to a $600 ZyXEL WAC6503D-S AP. Of course this AP runs the latest and greatest of everything with the exception of the Ruckus ZoneFlex R710 which is a $1000 box.

The other option is a Ubiquiti Unifi AC Pro which I can get for less than $150... https://www.ubnt.com/unifi/unifi-ap-ac-pro/

Not sure of the AP yet but I'm leaning towards the ZyXEL one.

Of course I don't *need* this 1.3G 5GHz wireless AP but for sure it would make sense to upgrade the card in the Toughbook 53 if I was to get this nice AP.

I mean the card is cheap... http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-INTEL-7260- ... Sw34FVGlI-

But.... WILL IT WORK....... Toughbook things....... LMAO!

P.S: My Netgear WNAP320 2.4 only is 6 years old now and VERY tired so I'm due for an upgrade! :)

So any traction on using these units in place of the "normal" ones. I can speak for the performance of the 7260s in person since my Thinkpads run them and they work great!

I tried something in my 53mk1. Can't recall if it was a 7260. I will have to look.

I don't have a need for this any more. I bought a new CF-54 instead LOL

Thanks!

For future interest.
I have a 7260Ac in my CF53 mk1. Works fine as frog hair.
