Actually it feels alot more sturdy than it's slim form and weight would lead you to expect. This one also came with a 64gb ssd.
Yea have dome the "my Mac runs Windows" thing a time or two. I have an I-mac that now has LXLE on it and a macbook pro 2008 edition that had Watt on the last hdd that was in it. The book is going thru a rebuild right now. Love the hardware. Hate the software.

Only other real bitch I have heard about the hardware is they have parts of the screen and some internal parts glued. Making it hard if not impossible to do some stuff your self.

Haven't seen that yet in this one. Everything is either screwed or kinda plastic retainer taped into place.I actually found the chassis to be less of a PITA to disassemble than my CF-19 was. If I had $1,200 laptop on my mind during the disassembly then it might have been more daunting. But it was more like, pice of non-working free to me apple paper weight. So no loss. Turns out that it had a shorted battery, 1 broken hinge, and some how the ssd ribbon had come loose. So batts out, ribbon is reset, Crapple OS has had password reset and now I own a functional MacBook Air. To be fully functional when new hinges get here and if I order the battery. Then the fun begins.

I can't remember what generation but some hackers found out there was room on the smart battery rom and put a virus in there. Then no matter how many reloads the virus would come back. It took a while for someone to figure it out. Then apple had to buy a lot of replacement batteries. But don't worry, the virus is harmless to windows. LMAO.

It worked with the dell W7 system I was building. Going to have to get updated and better obd software but at least I have a connection that works. It's a start.
