What is so special about the Azurewave?

Searching leads me to believe it is 100mw also.

One key feature of Azureware is lack of support by Intel AMT / ME ;-)
The Intel card is supported by Intel AMT / ME, which provides Anti-Theft and NSA backdoor.
That might influence your decission if you're on either side of the fence.

Does that mean only Azurewave are "safe" or any non Intel?

I want 3x3 with abgn...dual band..

Any cards which are not supported by Intel AMT / ME should be fine.
At this point in time this means almost all Non-Intel cards are safe,
with a few exceptions like Ericcson 3G cards.
