I have a CF-52 i3 on it's way with 15k hours~

Who would feel that's a lot of hours for a tough book?

Thanks

My daily use CF52 i5 has over 19k hours..

The i3 has led backlight so you should not have any issues...
My i5 has CCFL backlight on the LCD so it was slightly dim....I replaced the panel with a low mileage model...

Otherwise, the hours don't matter as far as I am concerned.

I was worried at first cause usually I've bought low hours but I remembered my son's CF-74 that we Frankensteined has been around the block ..... I checked & it has 22K

This is supposed to be complete, less os installed & got it delivered for less than $100 ...

Hopefully mama will be happy as she needs a windows 7 machine ...

mk3 and later ONLY with WXGA....
None of the later CF52 with WUXGA and ATI graphics have LED backlight...Those are the i5 models.
As far as I know the i3's all are the lower end models without the ATI graphics. The i3 comes with the WXGA resolution which mk3 and later had LED backlight..

Pshawww. This CF-29 Mark 5 down here with W7 has 38,000 hours on it.

Super secret: If the handles tight it sat on a desk or in a dock and was never turned off. Pick it up by the hinge end and shake. If handle falls open it will prolly last only ANOTHER 20K hours or more.

I have two CF-52 MK2 GUN with 22K and 26K. They're fine and tight.

good tip with the handle .... the CF74 is making the second round passed down from college kid #1 to 10yo .... moved to toughbooks years ago just for the simple reason ...Kid vs durability... 'That women of mine isn't any easier on gear...

I had a cf-52 come through with over 40k hours. The only issue was a dead pixel. So it may have had the screen replaced but the pc itself was rock solid.
