Union Electronics Distributors

#1 Post by Azrial »

Anyone ever dealt with Union Electronics Distributors? I was looking for the Optical Drive Lid and AC Port Cover for my CF-31 by part number which Shawn was nice enough to provide for me and found them! Their prices seemed reasonable, so I am giving them a try.

The BBB rates them a A+.

Did you also get prices from Heartland? I'd be interested in a comparison, if you had it handy.
Thanks

No, sorry I have never ordered from them and off the top of my head, don't know how. I was going by the fact that the used CF-31 Optical drive door I found on eBay were $51, and it was sold.

Just throwing it out there to see what others with more experience ordering new parts thought.

Well I placed an order with them also....Items not in stock, which I expected.
I ordered 2 parts for a Fingerprint reader for a CF31.
I don't like that UED does not list shipping until the order is complete. But at the end shipping was $11.99 via Fed-Up so that's ok.
They only take credit cards not Paypal..
Make sure you choose credit card as a payment option when you sign up, because you can't change it later on. I had to create a whole new account because I hit prepay for my payment option.
They did send a confirmation email after the order was complete.

Yeah, Gene sent me the same message after three weeks. I called up to ask him what was going on and he told me that "Panasonic does not have them..." and apparently never will again! I assume that all new CF-31s will ship without an Optical Bay Door.

Bottom line, do not waste your time with these clowns. Their communications suck and they can't seem to get anything, not even a power port cover!

So, anything I need to know about trying to order my parts from Heartland?
