Story time:
My horse went down with me ....not his fault, stepped on invisible rock in loose berm (road edge). It hurt. Felt like toes touched knee cap.
Several days later V insisted I get it x-rayed. Crush, strain , sprain only. (no breakage)
The nice Doctor said if I started to pee blood to get in touch. Pee blood says I. When you fell off the horse says he.
"I didn't fall off, I waited for him to get up". Dr. did the jaw drop thing and walked away shaking his head.
True.

Good story. I am guessing that was not your first time on a horse.
Life will beat you into submission.
Re: Rubber backlit keyboard
Not exactly. That horse and I had 22 years together.
Jeep (the horse) was embarrassed and didn't give me time to fall off.
Kodeniner, Do ya need a rubber BLKB for one of your CF-19s? There....back on topic.

Haha! Saddle got loose and I fell ass over teakettle in the woods. I was just glad I didn't get trampled.Sadlmkr wrote:Not exactly. That horse and I had 22 years together.

I seriously could use a rubber keyboard for a CF-19 so I could have one "heavy duty" unit when I need it. PM me and I'll see what I can give you in exchange.

Re: Rubber backlit keyboard
After equal amounts of procrastination and trepidation, I finally installed a rubber keyboard in one of my CF-19's since I did not want to bog down my CF-30 which I use daily. I tested myself on the previously-mentioned website
I have gone from 112 words per minute on the emissive chiclet down to 48. Now mind you that my 112 wpm was done on the CF-30 which is easier to type on than the 19 and I have a few scotches down the 'ole gullet. It was a chore, and I'm thinking of getting an additional CF-30 (or save some dosh for a 31) to install my other rubber keyboard and use it in more extreme situations.
Then again, this little CF-19 can be my extreme situational device. I just despise its battery life when I'm in the wilderness which forces me to lug additional batteries. So there you have it, a 58% decrease in typing performance.

Bonus video of me riding my half percheron half clydesdale this winter. I'm the one with the (low res dumb phone) camera, those are my buddies up front.
