Mint 17.1 on CF-30FCSAAAM

#1 Post by SHEEPMAN! »

Installed from a USB...thanks Cleve.

Did all the updates....means clicking a couple things.

Loaded xinput-calibrator from synaptic package manager.

For calibration from terminal:

Code: Select all

xinput_calibrator --output-type xorg.conf.d --output-filename /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf
That's it.

So Mint 17.1 gets a /\ (thumbs up) for the MK2. Mark 1 and 3 will have screen flicker. CF-29 MK4 and 5 should me fine. (because they are PAE) Install in MK4 or 5 and it will run in MK 1-3. (a little laggy)

Thanks,

Jeff

I need more info to keep from looking like an idiot.

Did you install Mint 17.1 or Mint 17.1 non-pae? IOW if you have time give me the specific version. I know it's a pita but I need specifics if you have time.

Thanks Kerry.

J'd...two "if you have time" in the same paragraph... :pat:

Mint 17.1 Rebecca,it runs great on a CF-51LCMDDBM,that's what I had it on. Is running now on a CF-50JAKUJKM but cinnamon is crashing. I used the drive from the 51 and booted the 48,can't get the DVD drive to run the disc. It works but any task window you open is black, the mint 17 desktop is fine.

I have 17.1 with the Mate desktop I'm going to try. Say a prayer....

Too bad someone doesn't need a FCSAAAM with 390 hours. Presently running Linux LMDE 17.0. Vista and W7 available.

The Mark 2 are the ones with no screen flicker. Just saying.

Probably be 400 actual hours when I am done here.
