So just got my CF-30 and it looks to be in excellent condition (weighs a ton, LOL)

I got it plugged in to charge and was trying to connect to my wifi but the keyboard is not working (the numbers and Fn keys work) anything I am missing???

Also this one has XP even though it has the Vista sticker. is this not right??

Any help for this noob would be appreciated....

Check numlock key and scrlck key. You should be seeing one solid green light with flickering HDD light...maybe flickering MP light. (the ones by the touchpad)
Otherwise you have a loose cable maybe.
Most likely a cable.
Before you tear it apart do a power pull reset. Remove battery and power supply cable...toggle the on switch a few times. This drains the stupid from the motherboard sometimes. Then F9 for defaults and F10 to save bios settings.

CF-30fasaxam serial ABO123456789 below that 8GKSB65384

So I spoke to comcast- the web key I enter is not being accepted by the TB... I was told it must be settings on the TB. The TB sees the router but just can't connect... anyone have this problem with the TBs?

This is what your 30 had when it left the fasctoy, as you can see it came with a Vista COA but had XP installed at the factory.

Model Number : CF-30FASAXAM
Status : DISCONTINUED
MSRP : $4,499

Description: WinXP (Vista COA) , Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 1.60GHz (Centrino), 13.3" XGA Touch, 80GB, 1GB, Intel 802.11a/b/g, TPM1.2, Bluetooth, Emissive Backlit Keyboard, Wireless Ready, No Drive

No it's not the Toughbook, it's the Intel ProSet software. You need to download the drivers only and let windows manage your wifi.

You should have no problem finding it by using Google. Intel gives you a choice of software/drivers or just the drivers.
