How long do you get from your battery now ? I use BatteryBar on all my Toughbooks, its free

A couple weeks ago I picked up a CF-30 battery for $20.00 and another for $25.00 . They both give me 4-5 hours of run time. Now a media bay battery will cost you about $100.00 + and only will give you 1 1/2 to 2 hours of run time. A lot of money for so little run time. I would buy another regular battery. Some thing to look into is this http://www.ebay.com/itm/400724229561?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT. It says for a 31 but it will fit a CF-30 as well. This is what I carry my spare battery in.

I have one CF-30mk2 that shows 7 hours on the battery, never seen that before. I buy used by the box, just got 20 of them and they average 2-4 hours for the decent ones

if you only get 2-4 on a used how long do you get on a new? Are the OEM better than the aftermarket?

Yes OEM is a LOT better and safer. On a new battery I get a good 5 hours on it BUT it all depends on what I am doing. Card games and some internet yes but watching a few movies...maybe 4 hours. What it comes down to is what you are doing.

This will drain your battery a lot faster. I run mine at 60 -70% when on battery

Aftermarket are garbage, you also have to remember the ones I'm buying are not CF-30 batteries but used yellow and blue tabs for 29,30,51,52. I have several actual 30 batteries in units here.

The stock 30 battery with the bump out tab will run longer.

7 hours is about the most you will get out of one, that's my understanding. I have some 5+ hour ones also. The screen is the battery killer, doesn't matter if its the tablet I'm on or a laptop.

And to get 7 hours you will need to be in power save mode with the screen turned down, otherwise maybe 4 hours.
