Non-Panasonic WWAN

#1 Post by wyrm73 »

From other threads, it seems that the CF-52 is not nearly as picky as some of the other Panasonic lines for WWAN cards. I am looking on the Bay at multiple sellers with the Lenovo branded cards for way cheaper. Has anyone tried these? If not any confirmed working suggestions for 4G Verizon cards (non-Panasonic or at least cheaper sources)?

I don't know about Lenovo, but I know a couple guys have had luck with off brands. They had to use the software to match to card.

That's kind of what I was reading. I was hoping someone would have tried Lenovo specifically, because they are plentiful and at least $40 cheaper. Given my limited time before I leave the country, I may just have to spring for the extra money.

The two I found turned out to be Fujitsu. Seller claimed Panasonic. I identified them from properties in device manager.
Using Fuj. Gobi 2000 driver and software they have been on CF-29 MK-5 sled, CF-30 MK1(same sled) and CF-52.
Easy install. They do not work with Panasonic Gobi package.
